Tanvi joined Lightbox in January 2019 and focuses her efforts on financial and legal aspects of investments.
After her law degree from ILS Law College in Pune, Tanvi began working at AZB & Partners in Mumbai working early mornings and late nights with the Capital Markets team on IPO listings on the stock exchange for many of India's blue chip companies.
After working with AZB for 3 years, she moved to a new role as a Senior Legal Advisor for the M&A team at LegaLogic Consulting. Her role involved drafting and negotiation of investment agreements and diligence for startups in their early rounds of funding where she got a taste of India’s bubbling tech environment. That led her to Lightbox.
Tanvi is a national level basketball player and thoroughly enjoys her time on those courts too! More recently, she’s found a love for gardening and you will usually find her reading a book in her curated terrace garden over weekends.

While India leads the world in data consumption and app downloads, monetising the Indian internet user has been a massive challenge. This begs the question who is funding the creation and sustenance of all the apps we are downloading – is it our personal information? Few among us are aware of the extent to which we are permitting internet businesses to gather personal data and fewer still are aware of how these businesses are using our data.
2020 has brought in an unprecedented challenge in COVID19 to our personal and professional lives. In corporate context, the year is likely to test the preparedness of businesses across the globe.
